About the BRC 


The Biostatistics Research Core (BRC) of Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago Research Center was established in 2009 as one of the research center’s shared resources.  Its mission is to strengthen the research enterprise by providing quality statistical services to all Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago investigators engaged in clinical and scientific research.   

The BRC provides statistical support and consultation for researchers - including clinical residents, fellows, junior faculty, investigators, senior faculty - for research projects, the statistical sections for grant proposals, scientific presentations and scientific publications, and statistical issues for IRB proposals. In addition, biostatisticians in the BRC conduct statistical methodology research.      

Our services include assistance in the following areas:  

Statisticians in the BRC work closely with investigators to achieve their research and career development goals.  The aim of the BRC is to foster a collaborative relationship with the researchers it serves.  Charges are based on a mutually acceptable arrangement for services rendered.
